McCloy Consulting engineers Chris Irwin and Michael Rea are attending the British Hydrological Society 2019 conference, hosted by Lancaster University, with the theme “Natural Flood Management – Does it work?”.
Our team presented a poster outlining research and work undertaken by McCloy to model the predicted effect of NFM measures in Innovyze ICM against baseline flood studies, allowing appraisal of potential beneficial and adverse effects for NFM pilot schemes planned to be implemented in Hertfordshire and Greenwich. The conference offered a fantastic opportunity to join the theory with practical implementation on the ground, including review of monitoring of schemes pre and post-implementation which will offer potential to refine predictions in future.
If you need help with a Natural Flood Management project, including advise on how to seek local grant aid funding for implementation, get in touch with our team.
