McCloy Consulting are delighted to have been Flood Risk consultants on the £400m masterplan to transform Belfast’s former Sirocco Works site. The application has been recommended for approval by Belfast City Council.
The development will make the River Lagan a ‘point of connection’ for the city, with the exciting redevelopment effort of the 16-acre site bringing community, cultural and leisure facilities, as well as better pedestrian and cycle connections across the river to the heart of the city.
More than 1,000 jobs will be created through construction of the project, with another 8,000 sustained once the businesses onsite are operational. Offices, a hotel and apartments will all find a home in this landmark development.
Work is scheduled to begin in the next few months.
