Jason Dallas-Ross is an Associate at McCloy Consulting, where he leads the Scottish office and provides expert consultancy in peatland assessment, management, and restoration.
With over eight years of experience in environmental engineering and consultancy, Jason specialises in peatland restoration, contaminated land assessment, and hydrological impact appraisals, often in the context of renewable energy infrastructure.
He has provided technical leadership on a wide range of projects across Scotland, including wind farm and solar farm developments, battery energy storage system (BESS) sites, forestry impact assessments, and urban redevelopment schemes. His experience also includes private water supply (PWS) assessments, groundwater dependent terrestrial ecosystem (GWDTE) assessments, peat landslide hazard and risk assessments, woodland creation feasibility studies, muirburn assessments, cemetery and burial viability assessments, as well as groundwater and ground gas monitoring. Jason has also managed large-scale earthworks and peatland restoration schemes.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and is a graduate member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
